Rikako is a KOTE artist based in Aichi prefecture (Japan).
She traveled to South Africa where she found inspiration for her art,
as she was mostly surrounded by nature,
camping in Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.
She felt ''art didn't have any borders and is a universal language''.
She learned how to decorate walls from professional ''SAKAN'' in Japan.
She uses bold and vivid colors to depict the strength of nature,
and plaster to expressits serenity.
She is a mother of 2 boys, who are also
following in her foot steps and enjoying the world of art.
愛知県在住のKOTE artist Rikako。
2009年に南アフリカ ケープタウンへ
語学留学した後、
ナミビア、ボツアナ、ジンバブエへ
旅に出てテント生活を送り、
自然と隣り合わせの生活をしていく中で、
広大でありのままの自然に
インスパイヤーされ、
自然を守りたい！という気持ちが
強くなる。
また、世界各国からの人々と
触れ合うことで、
アートには壁がないことを楽しんだ。
その結果、帰国後は左官職人のもとで
修行を積み、漆喰、珪藻土を主に
使った平面塗りから、
オリジナルアート壁までを手掛けだす。
二児の母。
小学校の卒業式でみんなの前で宣言した１つ目の夢 「留学する」。
叶えた先は、南アフリカ・ナミビア・ボツアナ・ジンバブエ。
留学先ですぐにカメラを壊してしまい、あまり写真はないけれど、少しの写真からでも、何か感じて頂けたら、光栄です。

I swore ''I'll go to study abroad '' at an elementary school graduation ceremony.
The dream came true in Sound Africa, Namibia, and Botswana, Zimbabwe.
My camera was broken so I couldn't take many pictures but even from some pictures here, I'll be glad if you can feel something good !!
This place is my starting point for KOTE art which is Eco friendly.
